Symwave has announced it will demonstrate the first-ever USB 3.0 Physical Layer (PHY) device, the Quasar, this week at the SuperSpeed USB Developer's Conference in San Jose, CA where the specs for USB 3.0 will be released. The Quasar will work with "sync-and-go" devices like external hard drives, media players, etc. at 5Gbps, or 10 times faster than USB 2.0.
